Simon Washbourne

If you've read this blog you know I like Simon Washbourne's games. Barbarians of Lemuria and Supers! get a lot of play in my household. I don't know Mr. Washbourne personally except for encounters on forums. However, he has earned a significant amount of respect from me after I read this post over at RPG.net. You can read the entire thread here.

  1. When I originally posted my question I didn't expect to receive a complimentary copy of the Supers! rpg. What a great guy!

I'm looking forward to digging into it and playing it with my kids.

  2. Let me know what you think. As I said on the forum we like it a lot. Not too heavy but has the common powers and such.

  3. We played our first game last night. Turned out great! The kids loved it. Overall the system is pretty sweet. As I said at RPGnet when we tried BRP and then BASH the kids hated it.

I must say the ease of character generation, the ease of combat makes it a keeper for us. Definitely planning on picking up the Cubicle 7 printed edition.

Have you made up any powers not in the book?

  4. We've only played it with the listed powers. Any thing we've wanted has been covered by the rules.

Glad you and your kids enjoyed it.
